RESEARCH ASSISTANT OF THE MONTH
april 2021: Alexis Brecht and Bella Andrus
Alexis is a sophomore studying genomics and molecular genetics with psychology as an additional major. This is her first year in the lab and she is very excited to be involved in research. In the future, she hopes to attend graduate school for genetic counseling.
Bella is in her fourth year majoring in psychology at Michigan State. Her minor is in human behavior and social services. She joined Klump lab because she’s also an RA in Dr. Burt's lab and they are both working with the MSU Twin Registry (MSUTR). She is interested in looking at the different study focuses each professor has. She hasn’t narrowed down what her particular research interest is yet and hopes to figure that out before graduate school. She plans to go back to Greece and volunteer with Movement on the Ground again before applying for a clinical psychology Ph.D. program. This year, she will be volunteering as a support group facilitator with Ele's Place.
