samantha schires, M.A.

Samantha is a sixth-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, where she worked as a research assistant in an emotion-regulation lab. Samantha is broadly interested in studying cyber victimization among marginalized groups. In particular, she is interested in examining the prevalence, psychological impact, and coping strategies of race- and gender-based forms of cyber victimization, and to further examine how various social identities interact to affect the risk and experiences of victimization. In her free time, Samantha enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, and being a cat mom.
